Some Odd Girl‘s 2nd annual Trick or Treat Halloween Hop!
Thank you so much for joining us! All of the Odd Girls have concocted a creepy little creation to inspire you today, and you’re invited to visit each blog to see what’s been brewing! You might have arrived from Brianna’s blog – if so, you’re on the right track! If not, you’ll want to CLICK HERE to get started, because you won’t want to miss a thing!
This tag was created using the digi stamp Witchy Mae & SOG Sequins too
We’ll be sharing some of these pretties on the Some Odd Girl blog over the next few days, but TODAY, we kick things off! So you might be wondering what this Trick or Treat stuff is all about, yeah? Well, in addition to amazing paper crafty goodness you’ll see at each stop, you’ll get tricks along the way, too! Simple tips and tricks to little secrets we paper crafters have figured out that we want to share with you!
TRICK
Here is an easy trick to glue on individual sequins. Use a tiny dab of Stickles glue on your paper and drop the sequin on top of it. If you use a bit too much Stickles no problem because it sparkles and works well with the sparkle of the sequin. I like to use the Frosted Lace Stickles, but you could use any color. Also, tweezers work well if you need help picking up the sequins and placing them in the glue. That also helps keep your fingers from becoming sticky.
and then there are TREATS!
WAIT, not candy corn... as you hop, you’ll come across some Treats, located at random Odd Girls‘ blogs. We have some clear stamps, some Odds & Ends, some digi stamps and lots and lots of inspiration for you! AND, as if that wasn't exciting already, we have a discount code for you!
Be sure to leave a comment at each stop, and if YOU have any tricks you’d like to share, we’d love to hear them! There might just be a prize in it for one commenter who leaves us a trick! Okay. So have you got all that? Are you ready? Well allllll righty! LET’S HOP! Here’s your hop order:

ReplyDeleteSo super cute! Love the "trick" too! I never thought about using Stickles with my sequins! :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I like the hair as it makes me think that if the lights go out it would glow in the dark! And your trick is awesome too much glue can be bad with sequins but with stickles you have 'shiny' and 'sparkly' you cant loose!
ReplyDeleteWow Melissa. I love it!! LOL on the candy corn. :D

ReplyDeleteSuper cute tag, love that image, she is so fun!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome coloring! I love this tag.
ReplyDeleteThat Dahl quote is just PERFECT on this card!
ReplyDeleteCute. Great coloring!
ReplyDeleteLove your tag. Especially love the DP on the moon behind the image. I'll take some of the candy corn please.
ReplyDeleteWonderful tag. Love the image, your coloring and the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteI love your little tag! The offset moon is a perfect touch too!
ReplyDeleteI finally thought of a "trick": If you are using an embossing folder but don't have the right color to match your stamping, just brayer color onto one inside of the embossing folder (the side you want up on your project), run it through your machine, and the background will be your brayered ink color, while the raised images will be the color of your original paper. Just clean your folder the way you would clean the ink off your stamp.
So the candy corn is perfect for Halloween. I love the cute card, so pretty! I like using sequins as a shaker card behind a stamped image.
ReplyDeleteBLing on the halloween craftiness! She's gorgeous. I love the tweezer idea and will have to try that out. I've been using a paper piercer (aka pokey tool) right now so I don't need any stickles or other glue but tweezers might be more convenient. TFS.
ReplyDeleteAwesome tag and trick!
ReplyDeleteAdorable tag!
ReplyDeleteI like the colors you used on the witch. I'll have to try your trick with the sequins
ReplyDeleteCute tag! Love the orange color and RD quote. Thank you for the trick :)
