I Rescue!

Hello Babushka Hunters!


I'm so glad you decided to join in our little hunt!  I think you know that I am a dedicated crafter just by scrolling back through by blog, but I am also big into animal rescue.  I volunteer for an organization and foster dogs in my home.  I've wanted to do this for a long time and finally got started in December of 2010.  My first foster dog, Mac-a Puggle, lasted with me for a week before finding his forever home.  Since then I have rescued 2 Doxie dogs (Weenie and Samatha, Samantha is in the picture to the left); 1 Havanese (Larry); 4 - 13 week puppies, 2 were Poodles and 2 Maltese.  I currently have Twiggy, a 2 year Havanese who was literally almost starved to death.  Her lack of food caused her kidney's to start to fail...she will be with me until she is back to normal weight and healthy before she can be consider available for adoption.    I've always been a dog person, I cannot remember a time in my life when I haven't  had one or two or three...

    Hi Melissa O! I love that you foster dogs! I am a dog lover also and I have fostered in the past. We recently rescued one that is so territorial that he has and we have deemed this territory his. LOL!
    We now have two Shelties and he gets along with Macie fine but bring in another and he doesn't know what to do with himself! LOL!
    This is a fun Babushka hunt!

    Melissa, that is super cool that you foster doggies. I wish that I was home enough to get a little puppy. Someday I will and I will definitely get a resuce puppy. :-D
