Such Curelty

I know this picture is difficult to look at but I want to introduce you to puppy Mandy.  Someone burned this poor pup... took pleasure in causing this animal unbelievable agony.

After being in the hospital for weeks, she is now in a foster home with the rescue, Fur Angels, that I do volunteer work for.  She has a long way to go before she will be able to be adopted because she still requires alot of medical attention.

I'm sharing this story so donations can be made, or in case someone knows who did this... This 'person' needs to be prosecuted to the fullest extent. What kind of human being could do this? What possible pleasure could someone get from such cruelty? This poor dog, just an innocent puppy.  If you can donate to help Mandy it would be very appreciated, even a dollar is helpful.

  1. It's so disgusting that things like this are still happening today to animals in this society! People don't realize how much of a correlation there is between animal abuse and domestic violence. Too many spouses will abuse a family pet to threaten what will happen to the other spouse or children if they don't comply with their demands. Although this may not be the case with Mandy, people need to get outside of their comfort zones and report the date, times, actions, people present and if the pet is no longer around or has signs of abuse to the authorities. If you don't feel comfortable calling the police, social services of the local animal welfare office, PLEASE contact your local Crimestoppers organization! They will take anonymous tips that could mean the difference between life or death for the animals or families involved. Even if a child is the one doing the abuse, it's even more important to report it. Too many kids will grow up repeating the same behaviors that they were raised with, so stopping the violence now is one of the best things you could do for everyone involved.

I'm so sorry to go off on my soapbox about this issue, but I lived in such a situation, and I would've done anything I could to repay any person reporting my ex's abuse. After I came public with the abuse, many people told me that they suspected problems, but yet no one reported them. My children and I are alive thanks to the grace of God, so please think of this the next time you say you don't want to get involved!

Thanks, Melissa, for bringing this issue to the attention of your readers, and for opening your home to so many animals until they can find a forever home! MWAH!

  2. There are really HORRIBLE people in this world! I can't even begin to understand how someone could do this to a helpless animal. But it's good to know that there are people like you and the rest of the Fur Angels willing to help. Thank you for sharing this and other stories with us, sometimes it's so easy to pretend that these things don't happen or that we can't make a difference. I will donate.
    :)

  3. This just totally broke my heart - it's unreal what the evilness of the human mind can do. There is truly no place on this earth with a mind to do such things as this - my eyes are briming with tears. I am praying for Mandy's recovery and am grateful she was able to be rescued. I don't know the city you live in to be able to recognize this but do hope you getting the word out came make even the smallest of differences. We have a foster right now that showed up in the street, nearly hit, in such sad shape and poorly neglected and abused - it's taken weeks for to come out of hiding under things and eating from a bowl .... I won't go into his story but we gave him a forever home here :) God bless you for the difference you are making for all the Mandy's out there! x0x0
