Let's Chalk-Ah-Lot!

We are in the second week of our challenge over at
the Chalk-Ah-Lot Cafe

Well you still have plenty of time to join in on the challenge over at the challenge blog. Monica's prizes are fantastic - just saying.

Also, Chalk-Ah-Lot is looking to add to the Design Team.  Interested? Check out how to apply on the challenge blog.  Believe me you will be overwhelmed with all the fantastic product you get to work with and Monica and Tammylee are wonderful!

Here is my inspiration for you this week.  I used chalk on the cake and icing, her dress and apron.  I also used Copic markers for hair, skin and dark blue trim.  I applied the chalk directly to the paper, it is so wonderful that it comes with a fixative in the chalk because the color stays put.  I always apply chalk in light layers so I can get the color I want.  The other materials are from my never ending stash, and I do mean never ending!  The stamp is from Stamp N Plus Scrap N's rubber stamp line called Patti's Kids.  There are a ton of adorable kids and animals to choose from.  See them starting HERE.

I'm entering this card into the challenge at

Desert Islands Crafts Challenge #24 - Happy Birthday
My card's meets the criteria for 1, 3, 6, 10
