Coloring hair!

I decided it was time to do some hair coloring and who better to practice on then some cuties from The Greeting Farm.  First I hopped around and checked out hair on other crafter's blogs.  There is so much variety out there, so many different ways to approach coloring hair.  The best thing is there is no correct way, color it how you like it!

Feeling Green?

Showing off my green today and joining the challenge at The Greeting Farm, Feeling a Little Irish!  I always have my green on, I have green eyes, also I'm Irish, and not just for St. Paddy's day!

P.I.N.K.

Pink is one of my very favorite colors.  It has been since I was a girl.

 The Greeting Farm is having a Pinky Pink challenge and naturally because I love both TGF and the color pink, I got busy.  I decided that Skyward Anya needed a little pink!

Winter Greetings!

Yup, I'm still freezing to death in Illinois which makes the Winter Greetings set from The Greeting Farm the perfect stamps for January.  I created this for their Farm Fresh Friday Challenge - It's Cold Outside!

BooYAH!

Can't be Halloween without a little sump'n from The Greeting Farm!  I have been a L O N G time fan of TGF and I'm having a blast playing with the spooky creatures from the Spooky specialty stamp pack.

The 'monsters' are colored with Copic Markers and the card includes some goodies from Paper Issues and MAMBI.  This is being entered into the challenge at TGF Farm Fresh Friday Halloween challenge.

What does the Fox Say??

This particular fox would say that he is from The Greeting Farm Wild Child stamp set.  Freckled Fawn helped me with embellies, the banner and the stars.  I love the way this turned out and think it will be a great boy birthday card.

Daydreamer!!

Today is my last day as Guest Designer at The Greeting Farm.  I had such a fun February, thank you Jessica and Marie!

I was really excited to get my second Secret Stamp from the Secret Stamp Club and be able to use it for my farewell card.  Let me introduce you to Tess, and let me also tell you that you can sign up for the Secret Stamp Club-registration is March 1st - 5th at the farm.

My Tess is colored with Copic Markers,  patterned papers used include Echo Park and Teresa Collins, ribbon and buttons are from my stash.

Guest Designer at
The Greeting Farm!

February is my month to do a little guest designing for The Greeting Farm.  I have been a long time fan of the farm so I'm really excited to share with you a couple TGF projects

This stamp is Double Cupcake Anya, she's perfect for a birthday card and even a little 'thinking of you' birthday gift.  This card is all made from scrap papers and embellishments from my stash.  I love it when I have good sized pieces of paper left over to work with.  Anya was colored with Copic Markers.

Here is that little 'thinking of you' gift I was speaking of.  Perfect for a sweet girl's nightstand for her nightly drink of water.

Tutorial Time

with Double Cupcake Anya

Products needed include:  Double Cupcake Anya stamp, Mod Podge, paint brush, sponge, Memento Ink, Brilliance Ink, tumbled tile, waterproof markers (I used Faber-Castell markers), heat gun optional.

This is super easy to do and everyone likes cute coasters.  Don't forget you can create wall tiles too!

First you want to get tumbled marble tiles.  I like the 4x4 size and normally buy them in a box set, they are inexpensive at big box stores like Home Depot, Lowes...  Be sure you wash it off to remove excess dust and let dry before stamping your image.

Next you want to use the Brilliance ink to stamp on the tile.  Be sure you ink your stamp well, the tile is porous and you want the ink to leave some color in the little holes.

After stamping your image you MUST let it dry.  I like to leave mine alone for a few days to dry, but if you are in a hurry you can help the drying process along using a heat gun.

Now you are ready to color...if you use markers you need to know that the tip of the markers could be ruined.  I used markers because I wanted the colors to be vibrant and exact.  I added a couple flowers in the corner used Mod Podge to adhere them.

I have 4 thin coats of Mod Podge on this coaster, covering the whole top surface of the tile. This makes it water proof enough for your glasses and bottles.  You can also use other glazes if you want.

Ta-Da!

 it's so much fun to be back on the farm.

Today I am sharing a Valentine I made using the stamp set from TGF,  Valentine!  The images and banner were colored with Copic Markers and the patterned papers used are from Doodlebug Designs and Echo Park.  Other little embellishments were from my stash.
